An ambulatory surgery center is a medical facility where surgical procedures are performed that does not require admission into a hospital. They are also referred to as outpatient surgery centers or same-day surgery centers.

At Front Range Orthopedic Surgery Center we specialize in outpatient orthopedic surgeries involving the musculoskeletal system made up of bones, joints, ligaments and tendons. We frequently perform arthroscopic procedures on the joints of the body such as the knee, shoulder and ankle. Arthroscopic surgery involves inserting a small camera lens into a joint to make an evaluation. Many surgical procedures can also be performed arthroscopically such as ligament reconstruction and repair or removal of torn cartilage.

We are certified by AAAHC, which is an accrediting association that specializes in ambulatory surgery centers. In addition, we are licensed by the State of Colorado and are Medicare certified.
Are all surgeons at Front Range Orthopedic Surgery Center board certified?
All surgeons and anesthesiologists providing treatment are either board certified or eligible to complete board certification. Board eligibility means that the physician will take a board examination after practice requirements are met such as length of time practicing medicine.
Is Front Range Orthopedic Surgery Center prepared to handle an emergency situation?
Front Range Orthopedic Surgery Center is prepared to handle emergency situations and has met the requirements of the State of Colorado for this type of situation. Emergency power, medical equipment, medications personnel trained in emergency procedures are always available if needed. In addition, if a physician feels admission to a hospital is necessary, our patients can be transferred via ambulance to Longmont United Hospital
Does Front Range Orthopedic Surgery Center interact with patients before and after surgery?
Yes. As a patient of FROSC you will receive a pre-operative and post-operative call from one of our registered nurses who will evaluate your condition and report necessary information to the physicians responsible for your care.
